Bag Factory History
The Residency Program
A residency program was initiated in 1996. Its aim is to facilitate cultural exchange and dialogue inter- nationally and locally. Residency artists have been accepted from all over the world.
During the three months, the residents work at the studios, contact is facilitated with schools, tertiary institutions and community centres. The residents are encouraged to share their expertise through lectures or workshops; thus furthering the education and development of the arts community as a whole.
Applications can be made to the Bag Factory and must include a CV, artists statement and current visual material.
